April 20, 2009 - EXCITING NEWS!
Charro Restaurante located in the heart of downtown Milwaukee (729 N. Milwaukee Street, 53202) is expanding its success and brand name to a new suburban location! Umami Moto Brookfield has closed its doors on Sunday, April 19th, making way for the second Charro Restaurante, as the focus for the Umami Moto brand will change to capitalize upon its tremendous success in the downtown area. Umami Moto has garnered a four star rating in the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel and has been picked by Onmilwaukee.com’s readers as the best new [other] Asian Restaurant, to name just a few of its achievements. Umami’s Chief Executive Chef, Dominic Zumpano, has also just been nominated for this year’s nationally recognized James Beard Award.
Slated to open mid-summer, the new Charro Restaurante will cater to Brookfield diners, as it will encompass the same fun energy, unique ambiance and exceptional cuisine of its downtown location. With this, Thomas Wackman and Omar Shaikh have now united with Michael Polaski and the SURG Restaurant Group for their first venture in the suburban market. The SURG Restaurant Group is animated for this expansion as we look forward to this thrilling change!
